OPKs in a Cycle Without Ovulation
My Pages
This is a progression of OPKs showing that an LH surge was not detected during the expected time for this particular cycle. The tester had used soy isoflavones at the beginning of the cycle to try to stimulate ovulation, but it was a no-go this time around. Something similar to PCOS is suspected, with a diagnosis of 'unexplained infertility' (cystic ovaries, but no hormone imbalances, and Clomid is the next step :)

For even the most regular women, a cycle without ovulation (called anovulatory) is not unusual. If you have two or more cycles back to back where you believe that ovulation is not happening, it may be worth a visit to your doctor to have follow-up work done to check for the possibility of PCOS or other hormone imbalance issues. Remember - anovulation is a VERY treatable form of 'infertility.'

UPDATE: As 'thebigtomato' begins taking Clomid to stimulate ovulation, additional OPKs will be added to this page. We will follow her journey to the positive OPK, and ultimtely of course, to her BFP!! GOOD LUCK AND BABYDUST!!
